Perry Melvin Cowin, Jr was born in Slaton, Texas on January 3, 1925. He was ordained by the Assemblies of God in 1959.

Brother Cowin served as a pastor and evangelist. He founded Bethel Assembly of God in Odessa, Texas.

Brother Cowin and his wife Polly were marriage counsellors and traveled the world holding seminars on parenting, marriage and the Christian family.

Brother Cowin died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at the ripe old age of 94.
